Roberto

Year 10

Lea Valley Academy, Enfield

Unforgettable! It was terrifying performing in front of the whole year group. Even though I messed up, I feel proud that I did it. I hope to be a rapper one day so it was great to meet
Rob and learn from him

Here's what more of the schools we've worked with had to say ...

ISLE OF WIGHT

CHRIST THE KING SECONDARY SCHOOL

Rob utterly won over Y9 and especially Y10. His work with our most challenging and disaffected boys was amazing. I had boys beg to attend a workshop - Other members of staff also commented on how inspired they were when they returned to class  Ultimately, despite all their posturing, they are our most sensitive students - they just have no way of expressing their emotions - but I think they do now and in a way that totally works for them and hopefully, we will be able to use their new found interest in words and the power of language in their English studies.

Sarah Rance, year 9 teacher

BOLTON

DEVONSHIRE ROAD PRIMARY

Rob came into our school to help deliver an exciting and engaging session for music and we were not disappointed. From the beginning of the day until the end, only one phrase can sum up the overall feel of the day: total engagement. The rapport he built with the children was excellent, and they wanted to do everything they could to please him - some of them have since said that they have written raps themselves at home! The standard of the written work from the children was amazing, and everyone (including the teachers) absolutely loved the day. We would absolutely recommend Rob, and hope to book more sessions in the future!

Thomas Abraham, Year 6 teacher

KINGS CROSS, LONDON

COPENHAGEN PRIMARY

The children and staff had so much fun: they’re still talking about it today. So many of them listen and love rap but never had the chance to participate in the creation of their own. Not only was it truly inspiring musically but they were improving their vocabulary and they didn’t even know it.

Thank you!

Rebecca Thomson, English Coordinator

LEEDS

WEETWOOD PRIMARY

The children were impressed by his freestyle prowess // and they were inspired to try their own using their rap powers

We worked on rhyme and how syllables matter // he also spoke of how we should use slang and strange patter

the whole of key stage two had a terrific time // and it will be an experience that lasts long in the mind

Thank you for such an invigorating, fresh day // we hope to see you again, next year if we may?

Josh Annis-Brown, KS2 teacher

BOW, LONDON

MARNER PRIMARY SCHOOL

Rob had the children spellbound with his rhymes and captivating performance. Our children have been rhyming, rapping and writing ever since. It was electric!

Andrew Daniels, Assistant head

KINGS CROSS, LONDON

COPENHAGEN PRIMARY

Rob from The Rap School delivered an incredibly engaging assembly to the whole school which really enthused everyone – including the staff. He then lead two amazing workshops with our Year 3s where children who could write and perform their own raps and have freedom for creativity. Great value for money and an excellent day was had by all – would highly recommend

Simon Field, Year 3 teacher

RICHMOND, LONDON

RICHMOND PARK ACADEMY

Rob was really engaging with the pupils. The students really enjoyed the session and learned new performance skills. We will definitely hire Rob again in the future.
